In describing the Islamic Revolution, it is sufficient that Imam Khomeini (Rā) referred to the Islamic Revolution with titles such as "miracle of the century" and "explosion of light". In the current situation, when various unfair crimes enter the country, the importance of explaining the achievements of the Islamic Revolution as a task is determined. Therefore, the present study aims to investigate the performance of the Islamic Revolution in the field of formal and general education system with a documentary and qualitative analysis. The findings indicate that the general education system in four decades of the Islamic Revolution has grown significantly in many indicators and, in some cases, it has been above the global average, including: gender equality in using education, the rate of the rural and women`s literacy, the literacy rates of villagers, the provision of educational facilities especially in deprived areas, student education coverage, teacher/student ratio, giving weight to the religious minority textbooks. And finally for realizing the transcendent goals of the revolution and the ideals of Imam Khomeini (RA). And again, the damages caused by the performance of the education system was also counted.
