Functionality of the media is a tool for managing the public opinion of the society, by which the society can gain the path of happiness - victory or misery - failure. Regarding the impact of media on public opinion, many thinkers have raised issues. The question that can be asked is, from the perspective of the Supreme Leader, what strategies are needed for the media's action to manage the public opinion of the society? The method used in this research will be thematic analysis. The findings of the research such as: news engineering to control public opinion, false portrayal in the media causing the deviation of public opinion, our weakness in producing appropriate content and the like indicate that from the point of view of the leader of the revolution, it is necessary for the media in the Islamic Republic to apply two socio-political and content-operational macro-strategies in produce functional strategies. Given paying attention by public opinions of the Islamic society, this will be managed in the right direction.
