Peace and peaceful coexistence between nations and states is an undeniable necessity for human survival and in accordance with Islamic teachings. The intrinsic value of the concept of peace in Ayatollah Khamenei's system of thought is understood only in such cases that it leads to justice, security, preservation of human dignity and morality. The problem of the present study is: what may be taken as the characteristics of the idea of desirable peace in Ayatollah Khamenei's system of thought that lead to a just peace? The article claims that peace and peaceful coexistence are essential in Ayatollah Khamenei's political thought and its basis and intellectual roots go back to Islamic teachings and is based on such components as structural peace, final look at peace, implementation of justice and tactical consideration of the category of heroic softness. In this article, using the method of content analysis, we have tried to deal with the concept of peace and its requisites that lead to a just peace.
