Following the death of a young girl on 6th of September 2022 in Tehran's Kasra Hospital, a discourse titled "Women, Life, Freedom" entered the "discursive field" of Iranian society and established a hostile (or otherness-creating) relationship with the political-social discourse of the Islamic Republic of Iran. The aim of the present study is to analyze the discourse of "Women, Life, Freedom", to examine its relationship with the three politico-social discourses of the "Islamic Republic of Iran", "Westerners" and "monarchists" in the discursive field of Iranian society, and finally to examine why the discourse of "Women, Life, Freedom" did not become hegemonic and declined, despite attracting parts of the young Iranian generation as its equivalent chain. In this regard, and in order to answer the main question of the study, the theory of discourse analysis of Laclau and Mouffe is chosen as a theoretical framework. This research seeks to answer the main question: "What are the reasons for the declination of the discourse of "women, life, freedom" and its not becoming a hegemony in Iranian society?" It presents its hypothesis and introduces 9 factors as the reasons in the field. The methodology of this research is based on the method of discourse analysis. This research is of a descriptive-analytical type.
