Discourse of Shiite political system is based on Imamat and monarchy not only has no place in this system but is also contrary to it. From distant past this question has always been around whether the cooperation and accompanying of some Shiite scholars and jurisprudents with monarchs translates to the endorsement of monarchy. In the new age a discourse called tradition versus modernity has been formed which believes in monarchy instead of accepting the current Shiite political system and believes that monarchy is the best form of government during twelfth Imam's occultation. This viewpoint is contrary to the theory of WelayateFaqih-viewpoint of most Shiite scholars during twelfth Imam's occultation. In fact traditionalists' viewpoint about the political system can be considered contrary to jurisprudence-based Islam. Analysis, study and criticism of this viewpoint comprise the main approach of this article.
