Abstract:   (307 Views)
The Islamic Republic of Iran has taken steps to form and support the Resistance Axis due to its Islamic identity and revolutionary beliefs and values. The Islamic Resistance Axis is a coalition consisting of Iran, Syria, Hezbollah, Hamas, and a network of resistance parties and groups in the region that was formed based on the ideology and identity of the Islamic Revolution to confront the system of domination and defend the ideal of Palestine. But the main question occurs as: what is the relationship between the Resistance Axis and Iran's national interests? What challenges and opportunities has the Resistance Strategy had for Iran's national interests? The research hypothesis is that although the Resistance Axis is in line with the ideological and Islamist goals of the Islamic Republic, it does not conflict with Iran's national interests. Although support for the axis of resistance has led to the imposition of extensive pressure by the hegemonic powers against Iran and has hampered Iran's free action in the international arena (counter-state), in return, it has provided numerous opportunities for Iran's national interests, such as preserving Iran's territorial unity and integrity, removing the shadow of direct war from Iran, increasing Iran's regional power and influence, weakening regional rivals, increasing arms exports and foreign exchange earnings, etc.
