This research seeks to evaluate the role of the media in shaping social realities in Iran through a case study of sedition of Women, Life, Freedom. The question is whether, considering the developments in the field of media, social reality, at least in the subject under study, has acquired a media nature and is being shaped in a media manner? This research used the documentary method and, according to the results obtained, the media in Iran in the last one or two decades has firstly reached a level of expansion and generality to play a more serious role in developments and secondly, due to new capabilities, the media has had a significant impact on the creation of social realities and in sedition of Women, Life, Freedom, there is also much evidence of this creation of media reality that is visible and indicates the movement of society towards mediatization. However, in the interactive relationship established by users between objective reality and the media reality in the process of creation, the media did not fully succeed in creating the desired reality.
