Security drills in the West Asian region have always been of strategic importance. On the other hand, the role of Iran as one of the main countries in the security dynamics of the region is of particular importance. Since when and how has the Islamic Republic been influencing the security order of the region and changing the pattern of friendship and enmity? This study seeks to investigate the impact of the Islamic Republic of Iran on the evolution of the security model in the region. One of the most important findings of this study is that the Islamic Republic, especially after the US invasion of Iraq, has played a prominent role in regional security developments and the security model of the region from the balance of power (between the Soviet :union: and the US) before the Islamic Revolution to the balance of fronts.
