The Supreme Leader of the Revolution, in his meetings with sports officials, champion athletes and the general public, has placed special emphasis on the issue of championship sports in the Islamic Revolution of Iran. Therefore, the present study seeks to use the qualitative content analysis approach to answer the question of: What is the position of championship sports in the system of the Islamic Republic from the perspective of the Supreme Leader? Accordingly, after analyzing the statements of the Supreme Leader in the field of championship sports, 4 main categories of culture, policy-making, belief and support were counted and extracted from his statements. The findings of the study showed that the Supreme Leader of the Revolution introduces championship sports as one of the strategic components for promoting the culture and identity of the Islamic Revolution in the world; And sports elites are mentioned as ambassadors of Iranian-Islamic morality, spirituality and culture. His Holiness also considers the heroic athletes as a model for the youth of the Islamic Republic and considers the necessity of endurance and gaining spirituality in these athletes as obligatory.
