The Islamic Revolution, as a source of dissemination, has provided new teachings to the Muslims of Nigeria; in such a way that the Shiite community, its scientific and religious centers have been activated after the victory of the Islamic Revolution. But the spread of the Islamic Revolution and the spread of Shiism have met many obstacles; in this research, it has been studied based on Hagerstrand diffusion theory. Broadcast barriers are factors that prevent a phenomenon from spreading from the source of the broadcast to the destination; and are considered an obstacle against the spread of the Islamic Revolution. This research, with a descriptive-analytical method, answers the question: What are the obstacles facing the spread of the Islamic Revolution in Nigeria? The central idea and hypothesis of the present study is that extremist groups in Nigeria, the Nigerian army, the Saudi government and trans-regional actors (the West, especially the United States) are among the obstacles against the Islamic Revolution in Nigeria.
Keywords: Nigeria, broadcast, revolution, extremist groups, Boko Haram, Saudi Arabia.
